My husband and I took Emily for an outing at the park one Friday.  She enjoyed time away from the stress and noise of the shelter. The following day I picked her up and took her to an adoption event at Petsmart.  We walked in and immediately saw a gentleman looking for a playmate for his dog, Josephine. My friend, Tinah, had accompanied him on this endeavor.  Mark decided to take Emily for a "home trial".  A few days later he decided to adopt her. Emily is now Valerie.  She enjoys hiking with her new family.
